Original Acrylic: "Stanfields Hut, Kaimanawas"

Stanfields is a very old hut in the Tauranga-Taupo Valley in the Kaimanawas about 30 mins below the Dunkirk-Cascade Hut and upstream from a waterfall.

It is built of pumice (which abounds around the volcanic central North Island plateau), and malthoid. With its great pumice chimney, it retains the true flavour of the New Zealand outback before it got taken over and organised by bureaucracy.
