Just above the Kerikeri Basin the Kerikeri River plunges over a high, wide rockface, forming the Kerikeri Falls.

These falls are impressive and can carry a considerable volume of water after heavy rains. This is a more lighthearted view, though, which reflects the mood that gave the falls their name.
